65 – 1861ع جي وچ واري عرصي دوران اُتر آمريڪا ۽ سندس ڏکڻ جي يارنهن باغي رياستن جي وچ ۾ جنگ کي آمريڪي گهرو لڙائي سڏيو وڃي ٿو. هن جنگ ۾ باغي رياستن، اُتر وارين رياستن ۽ سندن حاڪمن سان گڏ نه پئي رهڻ گهريو ۽ هنن پاڻ کي ”ڪنفيڊرل آمريڪي رياستن“ جو نالو ڏنو. 12 اپريل 1861ع تي شروع ٿيل هن جنگ ۾ ٻنهي طرفن کان اٽڪل چاليهه لک فوجين حصو ورتو ۽ 617000 ماڻهو مُئا. جن منجهان اُتر جا 395000 ۽ ڏکڻ جا 248000 ماڻهو مُئا. ان کانسواءِ 075000 زخمي به ٿيا. ان جنگ جي نتيجي ۾ آمريڪي يونين بچي ويئي ۽ آمريڪي آئين ۾ اهم تبديليون آيون. ان جنگ ۾ اُتر جي اڳواڻي ريپبليڪن پارٽيءَ جي آمريڪي صدر ابراهام لنڪن (65-1809) ڪئي ۽ ڏکڻ جي جنرل رابرٽ لي طرفان ٿي. 9- اپريل 1865ع تي ڏکڻ جي فوجن پاران هٿيار ڦٽا ڪرڻ سان لڙائيءَ جو خاتمو ٿيو
